Megan Baker
Client Services Director
Did you have a career before insurance? What was it and why did you change industries?
I managed marketing and event planning for a Wendy’s restaurant franchise after college. It was fun, but not particularly challenging so I started looking for “office” jobs. I was hired by a small brokerage in Cleveland as an assistant and never looked back!
What was the worst job you ever had and what did you learn from it?
In college I worked for the Alumni Association making calls to ask for donations from former students and alumni. Many of those alumni weren’t happy to hear from me and were clear about that. It was the experience that solidified my interest in service, not sales!
What personal accomplishment are you most proud of?
My sons. I know this is a cliché answer but they’re growing up to be pretty great humans.
If you came with a warning label, what would it say?
WARNING: Do not engage in conversation before I’ve had my coffee.
What would we most likely find you doing on the weekend?
In the summer: boating on the lake. Every other season: watching endless hours of my youngest son’s sporting events!
