Alma Rodriguez

Manager, Private Client

What was your first job?

My first job was door-to-door sales, selling high-priced encyclopedias. It came with the promise of a wide range of knowledge. Little did I know that this first experience in sales would introduce me to the world of entrepreneurship, communication skills, marketing, and professional resilience.

What personal accomplishment are you most proud of?

Raising my children into accomplished adults. The pride and joy of witnessing their growth, seeing them navigate the complexities of life, and ultimately seeing them evolve into independent, successful professionals is without a doubt my greatest win in life.

What’s something few people know about you?

I have an interesting attraction to the captivating world of mixed martial arts, with a specific focus on the legendary Bruce Lee. His unique style, Jeet Kune Do, holds a special foundation for me. That art is not just about physical skill, but also about a philosophy that fits within my own personal and professional beliefs. “Take what is useful, leave what isn’t, and add what is uniquely yours,” is a quote that speaks to me in practically every area in life.

What’s your go-to karaoke song?

“Crocodile Rock” by Elton John. It’s a classic with fun memories of my family showcasing their dance and vocal talents.

What do you love most about MMA Midwest’s workplace culture?

The dedication of the MMA Midwest’s leadership is what sets apart the culture of our company. They place a premium on open communication, ensure that employees receive consistent feedback, and pay close attention to the concerns and suggestions raised by colleagues. This cultivates a sense of trust and enthusiasm, both of which are admirable in my eyes.
