Superior Logistics Ohio is a third-party final mile delivery logistics company, specializing in the home furnishings and appliance industry. In September of 2020, Superior Logistics Ohio noticed an increase in the frequency and severity of auto accident claims. The transportation company had experienced 14 auto claims in 2020 and 20 auto claims in 2019, indicating a high rate of accidents involving their insured vehicles.
Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA), Superior Logistics Ohio, and the auto insurance carrier worked together to develop an advanced safety program designed to proactively mitigate and manage their auto exposures.
After implementing the safety plan, Superior Logistics Ohio successfully reduced the number of roadside violations and auto accidents, with a specific focus on rear-end collisions, backing collisions, and merging collisions. Additionally, their auto insurance loss ratio from 2021 to 2022 decreased to a combined ratio of 17%, signifying a remarkable 49% reduction over the two years since the introduction of the safety measures.

Focused the employee compliance portal on Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance documentation to reduce compliance, safety, accountability (CSA) violations.
Customized a defensive driving program where MMA trained and certified six managers and the safety department to conduct and provide training for the program.
