Karen Heeley

Tell us about your family: 

I’ve been married to my husband for 25 years. We have a chocolate lab named Reagan who runs our household and loves to jump in the mailperson’s truck whenever she can! 

How did you end up working in the insurance industry? 

Prior to joining the insurance industry, I spent 20 years working in various finance and accounting roles for a variety of industries – healthcare, construction, staffing and more.  

How do you minimize risk and maximize health? 

I help minimize risk and maximize health for our own organization through robust financial controls to ensure accuracy and prevent fraud, maintain transparency in our financial reporting, and develop comprehensive budgeting and forecasting. 

What behavior or personality trait most contributed to your success? 

I believe honesty and loyalty are essential to set an ethical standard for our finance organization. 

What’s your favorite hobby? 

I love reading and the escape it provides!
